My Creative Inspiration: Pokemon Van Gough Collection
Like many of you, I'm obsessed with the idea of the official Van Gogh collection, but they're tough pulls! So, I decided to do what any true fan would: I manifested my own collection. This series is my personal Dellice Creative Special Art Rare (SAR) drop, where I adapt Van Gogh's iconic, emotional palette and brushwork into a unique Pokémon narrative. This collection is a bridge between the genius of a master and the joy of TCG collecting.
The Story: Dr. Snorlax - Inspired by Portrait of Dr. Gachet
This Snorlax embodies the famous melancholy of Van Gogh's physician, Dr. Gachet. Snorlax is usually defined by rest, but here, he carries the heavy, thoughtful weight of the portrait-the slightly weary, but deeply empathetic gaze. The original portrait captures humanity and quiet contemplation, something I brought out using deeper, reflective blues and greens in Snorlax's shading. This art captures that intense emotional narrative, transforming a beloved Pokémon into a unique, gallery-quality collectible.
